Interventional Psychiatry
Advanced Deep TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) is a highly effective, non-invasive technology-based procedure utilizing precise magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells and neuropathways that affect brain health.
The FDA has cleared TMS to treat a range of conditions including:
- Major depression
- Anxiety in depression
- OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
- Smoking addiction
Because TMS has been in clinical use for 40 years, there are additional applications that are well studied and promising that haven't been FDA cleared yet, including: High stress, fatigue and sleep issues, unresolved trauma, substance addictions, mood instability, neurological and chronic pain, brain fog and cognitive clarity, trouble focusing and inattention, and many more. There are thousands of peer-reviewed studies about TMS published in the medical literature every year because of its broad range of applications.
The reason this treatment is so exciting is because it can
provide durable change for patients with complex conditions by treating the actual physiological issues in your body without medication.
